There are just times when you will not feel like sitting down to write. You may have a pending deadline or you just need to make money with your writing to cover this month’s bills. Every writer has times like these when they do not want to write. Does this mean that you should just not write until you get the urge again? No!
If you are writing to make money, you need to kick this lack of motivation. You need to get the creative juices flowing and relight that spark that helps you to make money from your writing.
Every writer will have different needs when it comes to getting motivated to write. I have a few that always seem to work for me when I need to get motivated to write.
Tip One
Take a shower and relax. This may seem like the opposite thing that you should do when you need to work to make money. When you are stressed about trying to push yourself to write, you are not going to find the motivation that you need. A relaxing shower can be just the break that your mind needs to spring to life.
Tip Two
Go outside for a walk or a run. Getting the blood pumping and changing your scenery for a little while can help you to make money writing. You will see new ideas for articles and posts as you walk down the street. You will be more energized ready to hit the keyboard running when you get back.
Tip Three
Grab yourself a healthy snack that includes a lean protein. Working on an empty stomach is never easy to do. Your mind will be stuck on your stomach and not the topic of your article. This will also give your body the energy to work and get the job done.
What are your tricks to get motivated when you need to write?

Very nice tips for getting your inspiration on. I will be using these when I need to get those creative juices flowing.
Good tips. I was struggling with motivation in a big way this week. I find that having another creative outlet - that has NOTHING to do with writing - to look forward to each day/week helps me out a lot.
Great post.
I also write for ehow.com
I've been posting my how tos on firehow.com also and am earning residual income from both now.
I have about 150 articles I think.
Keep up the good work.
Look me up firehow.com if you join.
